Age: 23 Sail: 11 Battle: 1 Leadership: 78

Courage: 62 Seamanship: 92 Swordsman: 53

Knowledge: 86 Charm: 90 Intuition: 82

Skillset: Celestial Navigation, Cartography

Probably the easiest and most simple character in the game, your goal is to explore the whole world and make a complete map of the world.

You begin your journey in Amsterdam Mercator gives you 5000 gold and a carvela latina. You also meet Hans Starten. I personally prefer to use either the Sloop, Pinnace, or Light Galley to do all of my exploring in the game.

First things first lets get us some gold. Go to the top left corner of the map and sail west until you go though the side and end up in the top right corner. Sail along the coast until you find a village. Here you will find the “Saber Toothed Cat” discovery. If the village is not there, restart the game until it is. Be sure to have SOME lookout, otherwise you won’t be able to see the village. The “Great Auk” discovery may also be available at the southern tip of Greenland. You can stop in Forel if necessary.

Bring the discoveries to Bordeaux and Professor Mordes. Bring the maps to Mercator. When you go to the Harbor to leave, a 14 year old young lady named “Paula“ shows up and asks to board your ship in search of her homeland. She tells her sad life story and they agree to help her out.

You must increase your adventure fame in order to win the game. The Governor/General of Holland should be looking for you but you should just ignore this cause all he is going to do is give you a new title. But if you ignore him you are going to gain more adventure points and more money. Which is WAY better than a title!

At this point you should just sail around the world discovering all the cities and villages. Sail around all the coastlines and make sure to stop at all the villages and discover what they have to offer. Once you discover a certain percentage of the wold Mercator will fill in the rest for you.

During the final journeys, Hans will comment that Paula and you should get married. In the final scenario, Hans will say that he wishes to see Zipangu, which has been hidden for the entire game. This is the clue to proceed to Zeiton (china) where you will be told that Zipangu ( Japan) is to the northeast. Now Nagasaki and Sakia can be discovered. The shopkeepers will confirm this, then You comment that Paula looks like the people of this land. She remembers a “Yellow Sea” in her homeland. You ask shopkeepers in Zeiton and are told that the Yellow “River” is to the north. Up this river, you will find the city of Changan. Go to the nobles building in the city and you will find that this is Paula’s long lost family. Even though she has just found her family, she decides to continue sailing with you and everyone lives happily ever after!
